CABBAGE PIE


Learn how to make easy cabbage pie at home. This cabbage pie is fluffy, flavorful and very tasty. It is a great side dish for holidays or weekend meal. If you like casserole dishes you are going to love this savory pie dish recipe.


  • 4 cup cabbage

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 bunch Parsley, chopped

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs sliced

  • 3 large eggs

  • ⅓ cup plain yogurt

  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cups flour

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ teaspoons Salt

  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon Mustard powder

  • 1 teaspoon Thyme/dill

  • 1 teaspoon Oregano

  • 1/3 c parmesan


  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Prepare 9-inch (23cm) baking pan greased with parmesan

  2. Finely chop the cabbage, transfer to a large bowl and set aside.

  3. Boil 2 eggs. Slice and mix with cabbage.

  4. Sauté the cabbage until soft, remove from heat and add hardboiled eggs, parsley.

  5. In a bowl beat eggs and yogurt mayonnaise. Add flour, salt, pepper, mustard powder, oregano, thyme, and baking powder. (Batter should be light fluid)

  6. Pour into the prepared baking pan Cover with the cabbage mixture.

  7. Spread parmesan and bread crumbs, and spray with oil

  8. Bake for 45 min

  9. Allow cooling, and slice squares. Can be served warm or cold.
